Maple Bear brings the best of Canadian education to the world by offering high quality bilingual (immersive) education. There are currently over 531 Maple Bear early childhood, elementary, middle and high schools in 24 countries around the world. The Maple Bear mission is to deliver a student-focused learning system in a safe, secure and stimulating environment that prepares students for success at the post-secondary level and instils a passion for life-long learning.
The idea to develop Maple Bear Canadian schools grew out of the work of the Canadian Education Centre Network (CECN), a non-profit organization supported by the Government of Canada and the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada.
Canada’s education system consistently ranks among the best in the world. In 2018, the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) ranked Canada #1 in the English-speaking world in science, math and reading.
The demand for quality education around the world has never been higher, particularly in early childhood care and education. The education sector in Australia is poised for major growth in the years to come as social demographic changes continue to intensify the need for education. Maple Bear is one of the fastest growing international educational brands in the world with more than 531 schools in 30 countries.
The Maple Bear curriculum is written by our team of Canadian educational experts and continually updated with the latest educational practices. Maple Bear also conforms to local education regulations, offering fully articulated local curricula in addition to the Canadian program. At the preschool level, Maple Bear delivers a student-focused learning system based on Canadian and Australian educational pedagogy and best practices.
BILINGUAL (IMMERSION) EDUCATION
Bilingual education is the use of two different languages in the classroom instruction of academic content. At Maple Bear, students study all academic subjects in either their native language or English, depending on the subject and grade level.
The Maple Bear curriculum is designed to achieve specific and measurable outcomes in respect to literacy and other subject areas, such as maths and science, through a purposeful and intentional approach.
HOW IS MAPLE BEAR DIFFERENT FROM AN INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL?
Besides the obvious wide gap in the price of tuition and/or daily rates at a Maple Bear school compared to an international one, Maple Bear conforms to local education regulations, offering fully articulated local curricula in addition to the Canadian program.
